Crackdown on call center gangs affects border trade, drags down Myanmar oil exports by 61%

Today (24 March 2025), Ms. Arada Fuangthong, Director-General of the Department of Foreign Trade, said that the department has been monitoring the suppression of call center groups along the Thai-Myanmar border, which has affected trade. Total trade was 17,470 million baht, down 3.25%, with exports of 10,027 million baht, down 0.6%, and imports of 7,443 million baht, down 6.6%. The main export products affected were diesel and other refined oils, with export values ​​falling to 510 million baht, down 61.0%.
